On this occasion, Clément Rouxel, Executive Director, and Amélie Moritz, Senior Manager of Health Philanthropy Programmes, had the opportunity to exchange with several researchers supported in recent years, including the latest grantee Fabrizio De Vico Fallani, Stéphanie Baulac and Dr Caroline Nava. These meetings allowed for a better understanding of the scientific advances currently underway, as well as the day-to-day challenges of research into neurological diseases.

Welcomed by Serge Weinberg, President of the Paris Brain Institute, and Brian Lau, Director of Platforms and Deputy Director of the unit, representatives from the AXA Foundation were able to discover cutting-edge projects, ranging from brain-machine interfaces – such as the RECOVER project – to genetic approaches to neurological diseases.

“Support from the AXA Foundation for Human Progress is a long-term commitment, enabling the Foundation to support ambitious scientific projects – some of which are groundbreaking – that require time to realise their full potential. This type of sponsorship is essential for fostering major innovations that benefit patients.”
