An extraordinary night: over €300,000 raised for brain cancer research

A few weeks after the publication of an essay calling for brain cancers to be brought out of the research blind spot – authored notably by Alexandra Curiel-Joffo and Pauline Crucis-Mouline, ambassadors for the Paris Brain Institute – the campaign took concrete shape on 26 March.

During a dinner organised by the teams of the Grand Café of the Grand Palais, in partnership with the Amour Amour Amour charity, donors and partners turned out in force to turn this call to action into reality. The result: nearly €300,000 raised for research carried out at the Paris Brain Institute.

This remarkable success illustrates the power of collective commitment in the face of a public health issue that remains underfunded given its severity. Throughout the evening, through their personal stories and contributions, the guests helped to make this event both inspiring and deeply moving.

The highlight of the evening, the auction, hosted with generosity and dedication by Maître Isabelle Bresset, played a major part in this exceptional result, confirming the importance of such fundraising events in accelerating research.

The evening was attended by Professor Gérard Saillant, Honorary President of the Paris Brain Institute, and its President Serge Weinberg, who came to acknowledge everyone’s commitment.

The Circle of Friends extends its warmest thanks to the Grand Café, the Amour Amour Amour charity, and to Alexandra Curiel-Joffo and Pauline Crucis-Mouline, whose commitment was crucial. Our thanks also go to all the donors and participants, as well as to Maître Isabelle Bresset for her loyal support.

At the Circle of Friends, we are convinced: it is through this chain of action – from speaking out to taking action – that we will truly advance research.
