Paris Brain Institute’s “Les Matinales” conferences
Conference: Brain injuries and strokes: progress and challenges in rehabilitation

140,000 strokes and 150,000 brain injuries are recorded every year in France. These two conditions can cause different degrees of brain damage and result in motor and cognitive disabilities for the victims. Brain plasticity does however allow lost functions to be recovered at least in part.
Researchers at Paris Brain Institute are exploring different pathways to better understand the brain’s recovery capacities and the predictive factors that come into play, as well as strategies for restoring attention, motor skills and improving quality of life for patients and their loved ones.
Conference program
On Thursday, October 2, Paris Brain Institute organized a talk to present the latest advances in rehabilitation after a stroke or brain injury.
