Make a long-term commitment

Paris Brain Institute’s long-term vision is up to the challenges facing neuroscience research. To foster this vision, we offer our patrons, whether individuals or corporate entities, the opportunity to commit to a multi-year partnership.

Depending on the amount of your annual donation and the duration of your commitment, you can allocate it to research projects or to one or more themes of your choice.

If you decide to do so, you will receive special reports allowing you to measure the impact of your generosity directly.

For donations starting from €50,000 per year, you can, for example, fund a clinical research assistant position at one of our 18 iCRINs, innovative clinical infrastructures located within Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.

For donations of €150,000 per year over two years, you will make it possible to develop a high-risk research project as part of the Big Brain Theory (BBT) program.

Philanthropy is becoming more structured and professional. Whether you are an individual or the representative of a corporate entity, it might be tempting to create your own vehicle. But managing an endowment fund or foundation also comes with its share of constraints: administrative and accounting oversight, verifying the proper use of donations, choosing beneficiaries, etc.

That is why we enable you to simplify your commitment by creating your own custom philanthropy fund or by joining the strategic funds that Paris Brain Institute’s management is developing.

Whether it is because someone close to you has a brain disease or because you want to ensure your donations have an impact by getting more involved, a custom philanthropy fund is a simple and effective alternative for achieving your objectives. Created in just a few weeks, your fund can bear your name, the name of a loved one, or any other name that has meaning to you. You can endow it with a regular annual contribution or an initial capital sum. Your family members or friends can also actively participate in order to be part of a moment of collective generosity.

If generosity is a value you wish to pass on, particularly to your loved ones, a custom fund is the ideal vehicle for leaving your philanthropy as a legacy.

Finally, you sit on a steering committee that includes one of the members of the Circle of Friends Office team. This ensures that the projects you finance are monitored respectfully and that their expected impact is optimized.

Researchers, doctors, patients, and generous donors: each one is a driving force in his or her own right, and together they increase our strength and our chances of finding treatments as quickly as possible.

This is why we are now initiating the creation of strategic funds enabling several donors and patrons to co-finance projects carefully selected by the Institute’s management.

NeurAL was originally a unique seed program, open to all of Europe, with the goal of identifying R&D projects in neuroscience (in biotech or medtech), bringing them to maturity, and promoting the creation of innovative companies.

Through an annual call for projects, winners selected for their high potential for medical impact receive funding of between €250,000 and €400,000, which enables them to reduce the risk of failure after proof of concept. The ultimate goal is to convince investors and ensure rapid fundraising.

By joining this fund, you will become part of a circle of investors and experts. You will also enable Paris Brain Institute to diversify its sources of funding by strengthening its economic model. NeurAL converts the support provided by the Institute into shares in the companies created, thereby linking it to their future success.
